Briar K. Stahl has been an associate at the law offices of Oshins and Associates, LLC in Las Vegas, NV since August of 2006. Prior to joining Oshins and Associates, Briar was a law clerk to the Honorable Arnold L. New of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Briar grew up north of Syracuse, New York and graduated salutatorian of her high school class. Briar obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Messiah College where she was a member of the Honor’s Program, recipient of the Dean’s Leadership Scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude.Briar was also a member of the women’s cross-country team, co-chairman of the concert committee, member of a select traveling choral ensemble and a member of the Choral Arts Society during her undergraduate studies.
Briar received her Juris Doctorate from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship. Briar focused her law school studies primarily on estate planning, wealth transfer tax and corporate and personal income tax. Briar received the CALI award in Estate Planning and Wealth Transfer Tax II which awarded her for receiving the highest grade in her class. While in law school, Briar also volunteered for VITA (volunteer income tax assistance).
Recently, Briar has furthered her estate planning career by co-authoring an article to be published in Around Your Home magazine. Her next continuing legal education speaking engagement will cover dynasty trusts, generation-skipping planning and opportunity shifting.
Briar was admitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bar in 2005 and the Nevada State Bar in 2007. She is also a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council.
