Kristin M. Tyler is an associate at the law offices of Oshins & Associates, LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to joining Oshins & Associates, Ms. Tyler worked as a litigation associate in the Las Vegas office of a regional law firm where her practice included representing real estate developers and general contractors in complex construction defect cases.
Ms. Tyler was raised in Auburn, Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating with high distinction in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Ms. Tyler was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, co-founder of the UNL Relay for Life, and worked for the Husker Athletic Department throughout her undergraduate career. Ms. Tyler was a four year Regents scholar, member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, member of the homecoming royalty court, and graduate of the Honors Program.
Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Tyler participated in a joint degree program and received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) along with her Juris Doctorate (JD) in December 2005 from the University of Nebraska. During this time, she worked for a lobbyist that represented the American Cancer Society and interacted with government officials at the local, state, and federal levels. She was also active with the Student Bar Association and the Women’s Law Caucus, co-chairing the latter’s annual Susan B. Anthony Charity Auction.
Ms. Tyler was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2006 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of Nevada. She is a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council, Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys, Las Vegas Nebraskans Club, P.E.O. Chapter G, and the Junior League of Las Vegas.
She has co-authored two published articles: “Build Your Dynasty in Nevada,” Nevada Lawyer (May 2010) and “The Revocable Trust: A Powerful Tool to Protect Your Most Valuable Assets” Around Your Home (July 2008). Ms. Tyler was quoted in the March 2010 issue of Financial Advisor magazine and has spoken at local seminars regarding estate planning.
